Various Health Problems Treated by a Chiropractor

When you have a headache your body is not saying I’m aspirin deficient!

HEADACHES: There are many causes of headaches; emotions, trauma, allergies, low blood sugar but a frequent cause is the malfunction of a spinal bone located in the neck and upper back. Headaches are a sign that something is wrong. Stress, toxic fumes, certain foods, alcohol, food preservatives are common culprits.

NECK PAIN: The chiropractic approach to neck pain in to find the underlying cause. Is the proper spinal curve present? Are the nerve roots openings between each pair of spinal bones free and clear of calcium deposits or spur formation or any abnormality. Proper structure creates proper function. Therefore, it is important to look at the whole body structural positioning. Specific chiropractic manipulations will help improve the motion and position of spinal vertebrae.

LOW BACK: Incorrect sitting, standing, lifting, trauma or just plain overexertion can cause low back pain. Sometimes a slipped disc or a bone out of place. Proper structure creates proper function. A chiropractic approach is to restore to a more normal motion and to position the affected bones with specific chiropractic manipulations.

SCIATICA: The sciatic nerves are the largest (and longest) nerves in the body. When these nerves are irritated by inflammation, pain will run down the leg this is called SCIATICA. Bulging or herniated disc can irritate or put pressure on the sciatic nerve. A sciatic nerve condition can also be caused by what chiropractors call a Vertbral Subluxation Complex usually back related back to the spine.
WHIPLASH: Automobile Accidents can happen at anytime causing a traumatic whiplash injury to the spine. Soft tissue injury can result in headaches, neck pain, dizziness, blurred vision, shoulder and low back pain. Whiplash means that the head has experienced a sudden backward, forward or even sideways movement usually due to an accident. Pain is usually felt immediately or within a 24 hours time period. The whiplash injury causes an instability in the spine and soft tissues.
